Many thanks for your follow-up on this, and also for sparing me your time during my visit to your office. I was greatly impressed by your wide-ranging knowledge of South Dakota railroad history. Regarding the DP&BH RR(started – but never realized Duluth, Pierre and Black Hills Railway), I’m attaching a photo of the remaining grade which is in the pasture very near my home. It’s more apparent to the eye than to the camera, so I hope you can see this bit of railroad history. This particular bit of grade runs due North/South about 400 yds before disappearing. Other remnants can still be seen in the area of Highway 14 between Blunt & Pierre.
